I just ... decided that I don't owe absolutely anything to people who treat thinking well of me like a reward for saying what they want to hear.

Some of my parents friends sometimes used to ask me about my grades, which I thought was too nosey.
I love Peanuts but I was disappointed in something I'd heard about Schulz. He apparently asked several young women he'd just met (who were fans of his) if they got all A's in school, which I think is an obnoxious question.
