Re: What phobias do you have?

Something similar to submechanophobia. That's the closest thing I've seen with a name, and I relate to aspects of it. My fear though is more specifically like of waterworks and pipes, drains, stuff like that. I'm not sure why, I've always had a childhood fear of running water and drains, to the point where as a child I was terrified to flush the toilet. Once I visited a large dam and had nightmares about the experience for years. Thankfully I got over that and am able to flush the toilet without problems and take baths and such, and I've managed the phobia by learning more about water infrastructure so I can see it in a more positive light instead of just something scary. I'm not scared of the ocean or water in general at all. Water parks make me really anxious.

I know this sounds weird and specific, sorry, it's hard to explain. I consider it a phobia because I've panicked over it and it used to affect my life in embarrassing ways but now it's not really a problem, though I still get uneasy seeing stuff that triggers it like if I visit a reservoir.
