Re: Democrat politicians

Just as a heads up, it is fairly uncommon for Democrats to refer to "Democrat politicians" or "the Democrat party" or whatever; the usage that blends in is "the Democratic party," or "the Democratic president," or "the Democratic whatever."

Democrat ______ or the democrat ______ are more closely associated with disinfo campaigns, including state-sponsored ones, and to some extent with Republicans and others who picked the usage up from them.

That is bullshit. It may have been true once, maybe, fifty years ago when Du-cockless was running against Ronnie, but it hasn't been true for decades since.

It absolutely is not bullshit, it's grammar. It's inconsistent, yes, but Republican is both a noun and an adjective, while Democrat is the noun and Democratic is the adjective. And the person you're replying to is right, using Democrat as an adjective is something that's done by a specific group. It's kind of like how anti-Ukraine/pro-Russia people will say "The" Ukraine instead of just Ukraine.

AYRT:I'm a Democrat! Reconsidering my language now.

I've heard people complain about this... on here. Irl I hear "democrat" as an adjective all the time by people of various political views. It may not be technically correct but it is common usage and not necessarily indicative of the poster being right wing or lying. Just pay attention to the content of what they're saying.
