I bought a white Macbook (not the newer model) for the purpose of having an advantage over other candidates for an internship that I plan on applying for next semester. Even now it's hard for me to justify the purchase, despite them explicitly saying on the requirements that they'd prefer someone who is familiar with the operating system. Here's to hoping you graduate and that I both acquire the grades needed to get internship credit and, well, manage to get the internship. :X

So what? You can still write your thesis on it, or any other computer. If your problem is being distracted then maybe you should move the fanfic onto a flashdrive and store it away when you should be doing academic work. Then whip it out when you're done.

You're working on a top of the line machine, you can use it for both business and pleasure. Get your money's worth.
