Sunscreen is "chemicals" and therefore bad. They can't tell you what the chemicals are and why they're bad, but chemicals are bad.

It's the same logic as not wanting preservatives in make-up because preservatives are a chemical and therefore 'bad' without understanding what preservatives do, and then some brands came out with 'clean' make-up that didn't put any in had the make-up go mouldy within a few months. Shocker!

some people took 'make sure to source your sunscreen from reliable brands, because some contain cancer-causing ingredients' to 'your sunscreen is going to give you cancer so don't use it!'
