Not to knock you or anything, but why would your age and nationality have to match up with an entertainer for you to enjoy them? Yes, I would guess that many of their fans are old and British, but not all.

Aw, I think Mena is a good-looking guy. I do, however, have all of the hearteyes for Marwan Kenzari, and comparison was always going to be the thief of joy in this case (even if I also think Mena suited his role as Aladdin better than Marwan suited Jafar).

Hmm, I don't think Aladdin was meant to be "hot" in the first place? At least that wasn't what I got out of the movie. No girls ever noticed him until he was rich, and Jasmine certainly isn't very impressed with Prince Ali at first glance. Aladdin the character is supposed to be like wholesome and sweet in contrast with all the other suitors after money/the title of Sultan/sex and the actor has that part down.

If you're determined to feel that way you can feel that way about anything. I used to beat myself up that most of my nonwhite crushes were Asian men and not Black and brown men. Then I thought Winston Duke and Michael B. Jordan were hot in Black Panther, but then I stopped myself like, "wait, how do I know I'm engaging respectfully and not in a jungle fever way?" And, "if I actually cared about these Black men, wouldn't they have been on my radar before they were in MCU slop?"

Ultimately, thought crimes are not actually a thing. Just be respectful in real life.
