I can think of literally one. Lisa Simpson was turned vegetarian because Paul McCartney required it for his cameo.

Doctor Who in The Two Doctors, the Virgin novels really ran with it though.

She wasn't turned vegetarian because of him, they had that as a storyline and he asked that they not reverse it, ie keep it as an integral part of her character going forward.

I have noticed however that lately when she talks about food it's almost always vegan. Which is disappointing to me. As a medically reasons vegetarian, I can't overstate how much I love eggs and cheese.

I have heard that near the end of Casey Kasem's tenure as Shaggy Roberts, he requested Shaggy go vegetarian because he had (which simply meant slightly different bizarre foods, like eggplant burgers). I wouldn't be surprised if it was quietly dropped after he died.

He certainly wasn't a vegetarian in Scooby Doo: Mystery Incorporated! In fact, in one episode they go to a burger joint that had just turned vegan, and he and Scooby both were thoroughly disgusted by it. Honestly, I think that suits Shaggy's character way more than him being vegetarian, lol. Sorry Casey!

FWIW, there was a long tenure of Kasem not being vegetarian himself. He may have wanted to assert himself more when it came to his roles (he left the OG Transformers series after what he felt were too many anti-Arab caricatures-- and given that the show had an enemy nation named *Carbombya* he probably had a point!).
