Man, vegans can't win. Either they are preaching if they give a reason or they are hated and accused of doing it "for no reason" if they don't.

Fwiw, I don't think characters on shows need a reason for every little thing. But I also get it when little things annoy you and you stop watching. I don't think it makes you an awful person or anything.

I don't recall this on a show, but I have seen it in fic. It was the sententious manner that it was introduced that made me x out of it. Any time I feel like I'm being lectured at through the character, no matter what it is focused on (exercise, diet, recycling, medicine, meditation, coffee, etc.) I'm immediately skeptical, even for things I like and/or engage in regularly, and if it gets too much, I'm out.

My only beef with vegans was that whole weird thing with the honey - but honestly idk if that was just a tumblr thing or if there are people who really believe that bees get abused in exchange for honey.

Nah, I'm with you.

Frankly, I'm beginning to dislike the idea of corpo appointed show-runners.

I don't like the idea that when a creator is done with a show or dies that the show vanishes with them, but I don't think I've been enjoying this current era of "Ok, Now it's my turn, I'm going to make my mark on this property. Really make it reflect my values instead of the regressive and stupid ideas of the bad people who worked on this before me".

There's this guy on a show I'm watching and every time he's on screen I can't help focusing on his mouth. His mouth is distractingly gross. Plus he always has it hanging open, which somehow adds to my annoyance. So yeah, I get it.

There's an actor who looks exactly like a girl that used to relentlessly bully me. I can't stand watching anything the actor is in. This is entirely not the actor's fault, so I don't tell people who it is or why, but it's still a visceral reaction.

I'm pretty sure the only Jason Statham movie I've seen is Spy (with Melissa McCarthy) and he was hilarious in it. So I'll agree with you, simply because he didn't have a romantic interest in that.
