I don't have Amazon Prime but in general, their shows don't seem to generate as much buzz. (Aside from stuff like Rings of Power, which has the advantage of being a sorta kinda spin-off of an extremely popular movie franchise.) This sounds like something I'd enjoy,though I've never read the novels. Thanks, OP!

I do like Aldis Hodge and I liked Kiss the Girls and even Along Came a Spider, but I've been having trouble mustering up enthusiasm to watch anything.

Been a couple of months since I watched it but I 100% get the shipping, great character dynamic, they have History and also they're both ludicrously attractive actors that could have chemistry with a fence post.

I'm not one for gritty procedurals normally but watched for Hodge and ended up getting invested, would definitely be up for more.

Honestly, same. I watched TNG largely due to Wesley Crusher (I mean, yeah, I was also a Star Trek fan), and I loved the Ewoks. I had (still have) a Wicket plushie. Didn't know they were hated, and I don't care.

you're not wrong, but be careful what you wish for. Baldurs Gate 3 had these kind of body varieties, but the tradeoff was zero face customization, while Dynasty Warriors 9 which came out in the PS4 era had so many face and hair options down to nose shape, mouth height, whether the earring was on the left or right or both, and you could even change characters' height and weight (to a point). I guess having both would bloat the game code too much? Or western game studios just haven't figured out how to give us all the options without breaking cut scenes.

maybe I'm just mad because making a custom Tav in BG3 is an exercise in choosing between ugly and uglier, might as well just make a githyanki if the human/elf faces are so gross.
