14. Honestly, I have got to say that you come off as a complete ass. Or possibly as a troll. Even as someone that will read pretty much ANY ship for this fandom, including the incest, I'm NOT going to tell you to be open-minded. What I am going to tell you is to get off of your high horse. Zelos/Sheena? Cute. Hot. Totally not canon. The only completely canon pairings in the game are Regal/Alicia, Yuan/Martel, Kratos/Anna, and Lloyd/Colette (maybe).

But here's a question for you: (assuming you've dated or been in love) Has your opinion of the person you're with ever changed? Have you ever dumped someone for someone else? Have you ever GOTTEN OVER someone? People do it all the time. Even when said person they were with dies.

Anyway, this is a lot of tl;dr. Point is, canon pairings aren't always forever. And, honestly, Zelos is probably bi. :D

Lloyd/Colette isn't strictly canon. Kloitz/Virginia (the Sages) is the fourth, forgotten canon pairing. Genis/Presea is also one-sided canon, if you want to go that route (but not mutual in the game).

Whups, forgot those. ^^' I was never able to get Virginia's scene in my game, or else I probably would have remembered it. Genis and Presea were such dorky/oblivious love. XD

Lloyd/Colette isn't strictly canon.

What she means is that it's hinted at so much in the game and it's been confirmed by other official Namco products. For example, in the DVD short Tales of Fandom Gaiden (which was released in Japan with preordered copies of Tales of the Abyss) all of the tales heroes are arguing over who's the best, and Zelos (lol) suggests that they compare girlfriends. Lloyd mentions Colette saying that she's the cutest.

Basically, even though it's left hanging in the game (presumably to make room for the other endings to make sense), Namco's put that pairing in so many other Tales of products that it might as well be canon.

THIS DOES NOT MEAN THAT YOU CAN'T SHIP OTHER THINGS THOUGH. You just have to keep canon in mind and learn how to properly circumvent it so it isn't disregarded completely. :]

Exactly. Like having them become interested in other people or whatnot, but dealing with the fact that Colette is attracted to Lloyd and that he cares about her LIEK WOAH. I mean, I'm sure that Colette would be hurt but she wouldn't be all like "jkgfajafk DDD: LLLOYD HOW COULD YOU!?!?!?!? *RAGE ANGELIC POWERS WORLD EXPLODES*"

But then I'm no good at writing break ups. ^^'

Ah, got it. I'm not always as aware as I should be of canon outside the game. ^^;

I did see that Fandom Gaiden movie, but only in unsubbed Japanese. I spent the whole time admiring Zelos and Jade's voices without understanding a word. ^^;

And trust me, as a Kratos/Zelos shipper, I'm great at learning to circumvent canon and abusing plotholes/time gaps/etc. ^_^
