Hahaha, I kinda know what you mean, but I think you're kinda writing off a hell of a lot of character depth by using such narrow statements. I like plenty of het. pairings in ToS, but~~~ I've always thought Zelos/Lloyd was more canon than Zelos/Sheena for example - and not because of Zelos glomping him. Moar credit plz.

Not trying to pick a fight or nought, I'm just prepared to wax lyrical on a subject I think I'm justified in. I'm a dork :33

I ship Zelos/Lloyd AND Lloyd/Colette. Whoa, CRAZY, I know. Maybe that's because I don't turn a blind eye to actual development rather than OMG YAOI or OMG HET! Crazy thought, that, paying attention to chemistry. Zelos could be a woman and I'd ship Lloyd/Zelos, and Colette could be a man (though I'd really hope not) and it would be the same thing. I don't like the pairings for their genders, I like them for the way they WORK, honest to god work, because of how the characters are.

Also, Sheena/Colette makes more sense than Zelos/Sheena. If only because if you notice? Zelos will never be honest with Sheena. Colette will. 8)

And I was gonna anon this, but. If I'm going to make this my opinion, I shouldn't hide. Sorry if this reply is a bit jumbled, though!

14. "Straight as an arrow." -_- Just because he loves women doesn't mean he doesn't also have a thing somewhere in there for guys. For years, I considered myself bisexual, yet only dated guys or really flirted with guys, partially because either all the girls I knew called themselves straight. Now I consider myself mostly lesbian. Sexuality's a fluid thing - and just because one character acts one way on the outside doesn't mean they're not another way on the inside. They're modeled after humans.

It's far stretch to call any character (or any human being) 100% straight or 100% gay.

That being said, I will support most pairings if you can convince me that there's canon evidence for them.

14. Kratos/Anna and Regal/Alicia are canon, yeah, but that doesn't mean that it's impossible for Kratos and Regal to have a close relationship with someone else, romantic or platonic, male or female. I doubt that Anna or Alicia would want to see Kratos and Regal hung up over them forever, either.

15. Haha, I can't stand looking at penises. Especially when there's a disturbing amount of emphasis on the VEINS. Christ. It never bothers me to read about them, though. Probably because I don't have to get the illustrated edition.

14. Speaking as one of the biggest Lloyd/Colette shippers ever, I'll have to join with the chorus of "people can ship what they want". I don't like yaoi or yuri; in fact, the only time I've ever written it was for presents for friends. But I support everyone's right to ship who they want. Just like I want people to respect me for liking het instead of slash, people who like slash deserve the same kind of respect.

Besides, under the right circumstances, I actually could see Zelos/Lloyd happening. :x Is there anyone else here besides me who primarily likes het without coming across as being a total cunt?

I used to think way back in the pre-historic age that I wouldn't be cool if I didn't hate Sasuke, but then I remembered that we're all a gigantic group of nerds who are a little too invested in fake people. There's really nothing to be specifically embarrassed about within fandom after coming to terms with this. It's like reaching fandom zen.

Sasuke's one of my favorite characters. Fangirls who hate fangirls who hate fangirls, whatever.

15. Your reason for liking yaoi manga is the reason I hate it. I know that girls into yaoi prefer femininzed men, but removing their genitals is just creepy. If you're afraid of cock, try reading yuri instead.

Alright number 14 Anonymous-chan, I have to tell you a few things about fandom.

1.) Expect to be verbally raped for this one secret for showing your dislike and distain to Yaoi. [ Though not necessarily Yuri in this case, which may get many fans on ‘HOW COME YOU HAVE NO GIRL ON GIRL PAIRINGS NOT MENTIONED IN THERE? HUH?! ARE LESBIANS SUPERIOR?!’. Although I have now begun to notice that fangirls of yaoi and yuri are becoming more open minded than in the olden days where one person liked one over the other. ]

2.) Showing a superiority complex in fandom for liking a certain thing and waving it around that way is also a bad thing, being tactful helps.

3.) If you have problems with finding heterosexual fiction, you can ask the friendly neighbors of Tales of Symphonia het fans at

tales_symphonia which is the most active community of Tales of Symphonia that you need.

If I come off as condescending, it’s probably my nature in doing so, so please forgive my rudeness, I’m only trying to be of a help as much as I can.

I myself don’t like pairings in general, it causes too much drama, besides there’s more to life than romance. :) But that’s my personal opinion; don’t pay any heed to it.

14. I agree partly with this. Sometimes I wish more people shipped het pairings; there are discussions where I wonder if anyone is interested in the straight couples anymore. But there's nothing wrong with slash or non-canon pairings and people are allowed to like whatever they like. I'm sorry to say that you are not the canon police and you can't silence those godforsaken Zelos/Genis (?!) shippers that just won't stop defacing your pretty little fandom with their fanart. You also don't have a say on what goes behind the scenes of the game or after it ends, and people are free to make it up.

Anna and Alicia have kicked the bucket years and years before it started. People do get over big losses and love again, so as far as I'm concerned the Kratos and Regal pairings can still hold water. lol bisexuality. And Kratos/Raine is about as canon as Lloyd/Genis or any other slash pairing, just for the record. :')

7. I understand where you're coming from. Since this past fall, I've been more turned on by yuri than any other stimulus before or since. And yet...I'm pretty dang straight. (Minus the crush on that one waitress...)
