da, but... good artists? The last piece I commissioned was $100 and I honestly felt like the artist was undervaluing themselves a bit so I gave them a nice tip.

Any artist only charging $15-30 is DEFINITELY undervaluing themselves and needs to up their prices.

Depends on the type of art, icons, "your character here" where a sketch is already drawn, flat colored, and thigh/waist-ups cost less than a full rendered image. It makes me sad when artists undercharge, I only commission when I gave extra money but it's best to tip and encourage them to charge by the time taken to draw.

NAYRT

lol I replied with the same thing right below you. My mind went immediately to character profile type of commissions. "Headshot icons of your D&D party $15 each" type things are pretty popular

I think it's hard to say anything "definitely" without knowing what was commissioned. Sketch work or line art or character headshots for a tabletop game can be $15-30 easily and be great. Not every commission is full details and shading and things can be "lovely" without them

Fair, I hadn't been considering headshots but even then I'm used to seeing those for $30-45 and not $15.
