Oh my gawd I hate the, "is this okay? Is this still okay? Are you sure you're fine with this?" stuff in any context.

I totally understand wanted to portray consent and care for a partner's comfort, but at some point it becomes so neurotic that it's like...how do you stay turned on when you're afraid that everything you're doing is bothering or hurting your partner? How does your partner stay turned on, knowing you're that anxious about what you're doing with them?

Right? THIS, omg.
I can *kind of* get it if you're doing like...the very first time they've ever been together/done this, there should for sure be some checking in.
But if you're giving me solid partners in a long-term 'ship who do this all the time? They should already KNOW, and TRUST, and be attuned enough to know when to ease up or whatever. Yeesh.
