I was never a fan of Shawn. I get that he came from a dysfunctional family, but BMW did a bad job of showing what that was like and he just came across as a selfish, fucked-up mess.

Enter GMW and his character just got worse. No Angela (but let's face it, she deserved better). The whole thing with Mia (being "drawn" to her, hanging around her, buying her a wardrobe) was creepy. And then his affection quickly transferred to her absentee, chronic liar mother because... why? So he could stay close to Mia? Gross.
