I am so glad I was never into the Buffy or Angel fandoms. I enjoyed those shows and was lucky to have irl friends to enjoy them with me and never got into the drama of the fandom. I feel like it would have ruined the fun for me.

I honestly can't go back and watch the Body anymore after my dad passed. So I think it is a really well done episode just because it gets things very right. It is very realistic and believable. But it is hard to watch.

Seriously, that episode made me sob before my dad died, I can't imagine trying to watch it again after that. :\

It is hard. I find it relatable, too relatable. I actually went to work without realizing my dad had passed, walked right by him. And then we sat with his body for over an hour. So I've skipped that episode on both my subsequent rewatches

Same. I couldn't rewatch it at the time, nevermind now that my mom died in a very sudden and unexpected way. It would just fuck me up.

This exactly. It is a very good episode. It is well done, well written, powerful. It is just so relatable for those who have gone through similar things that it can be too hard to watch.

I've always found The Body to be crap television, and I've never understood the hype. I never bought that Buffy would be that upset given that she had a pretty crappy relationship with Joyce. I also spent the entire episode wondering why no one closed the body's eyes. Geez. Use tape if you have to, but that was just damn disrepectful.
