What is everyone doing this weekend?

I'll be staying home and relaxing. Next week, I'll be driving to Albuquerque so that will be a long weekend. I am going to try needlefelting (I got a kit). And might try to watch a movie. Otherwise, just playing the new Marvel Rivals season.

Anyone who tries to claim the movie isn't skeevy is a walking red flag. I love that movie, but it is skeevy and problematic as hell.

I also had no idea Burt Reynolds was up for the role. It is kind of hilarious to think of him instead of Gere. You're right that it is a totally different energy! Personally, I think Richard Gere is incredibly creepy and so worked really well for the role.

I am so glad I was never into the Buffy or Angel fandoms. I enjoyed those shows and was lucky to have irl friends to enjoy them with me and never got into the drama of the fandom. I feel like it would have ruined the fun for me.

I honestly think Q is super overrated as a character. I find him really annoying most of the time.

If I were a sudden billionaire I would pay off my debt (student loans), buy my parents house for them, pay off my friends and family's debts, buy land and build a modest house for myself, and travel.

My relative wealth is "can't afford to buy a house and can barely afford to rent." I think hard numbers don't really mean anything because it is so location dependent, but according to a recent study I make about 30k under the "minimum income for a person to live comfortably" in my area. Every time I get a raise the cost of living raises even more. I'm tempted to date and find a partner just to share expenses at this point.

Not really in the fandom so not sure how popular this was, but I was quite disappointed in the Serenity movie as a Firefly continuation. It would be fine as a movie on its own but I feel like it really messed with some stuff and felt quite different.

I honestly can't go back and watch the Body anymore after my dad passed. So I think it is a really well done episode just because it gets things very right. It is very realistic and believable. But it is hard to watch.

Idk I enjoyed him in Voyager. I just feel like he's a character that is best used sparingly.

Tomorrow going to see Superman and new jurassic movie and then packing. Sunday we're driving to Oklahoma. I'm officially on vacation for a week, yay. Well, other than monday morning when I have 2 virtual hearings.
