I live with my mother, so my bills are fairly low as she owns the house outright and we don't live in a super expensive part of our city, but the neighbourhood is going downhill and together we can't quite afford to move to a nicer one.

I can put away about £1100 in savings each month right now, which is most of my take home salary, to build up a house deposit (currently £34k), but only by paring back on everything else. I also pay around 14% of my salary into my work pension, so hopefully I can build that up before I need to retire.

So, I'm cash rich for the moment, but when my bills increase that will rapidly change. If I suddenly became a billionaire? I'd give a lot away, and build trust funds for some of my family, but I think financial anxiety would mean I'd stay a multi-millionaire for the sense of security and comfort.
