There are so many amazing or badass or just plain interesting women in history and I am continually angry that there aren't a million movies about them and instead we get ten thousand batmans and the same damn war stories over and over. So yes, I am with you.

I wouldn't mind the buckets of superheroes and general Dude stories if they threw us a bone every now and again as far as historical women go. Alas they do not, so I'm angry about it right along with you.

I mean, historical and fantasy are two separate genres, so while I agree with you about so many samey war movies, batman would be a separate thing. That being said, I really wish we'd get more female-centric fantasy and science fiction with awesome, complex female characters. More than one even.
