Re: Flying tips
Like the other anons said, drink lots of water with electrolytes after the flight. I like to address my fears with lots of facts and research, so I've put some below - if this is not helpful, definitely skip over this section.
1. Not a single plane crash has happened due to turbulence. Turbulence is like driving on a gravel road, but the sky version of it - planes are specifically designed to handle it and have lots of flaps and focus on tensile strength for just that.
2. Statistically speaking, basically every plane crash happens on the first minute between take-off and landing. I like to throw on a goofy song, let myself worry for those minutes, and then once the time is up, I know I'm good to go.
3. All commercial plane flights have at least 2 redundancies built into the plane, even for catastrophic failures, and can glide for an hour with no power. All commercial plane flights are also required to have at least 1 major airport within that hour on any given flight plan, and pilots are trained to know how to divert and glide on over should anything occur.
