I was fairly young when I saw them both. When the remake was released on video my parents, who were fans of the original, rented both of them one after the other for our weekly movie night, starting with the remake because they had a feeling it'd be the weaker one.

What I discovered is Elizabeth Hurley does nothing for me and I wasn't expecting a one-scene-wonder playing the embodiment of Lust in the original to sexually awaken something in me. I have rarely felt so exposed in the presence of my parents as I did watching that scene. I hoped I didn't visibly squirm.
