Hey, a fellow Peter Cook and Dudley Moore appreciator!

Supposedly they wanted to convert it to a more broad American sense of humor and I think they were successful, but it also meant I found the remake not very funny at all.

I also prefer the original because its depiction of the Devil is much more unusual and interesting. I love the way he’s petty and a bit childish, then apathetic and bored. And eventually he just seems a bit lonely.

I have no particular stance on the relative attractiveness of Elizabeth Hurley and Raquel Welch.

I was fairly young when I saw them both. When the remake was released on video my parents, who were fans of the original, rented both of them one after the other for our weekly movie night, starting with the remake because they had a feeling it'd be the weaker one.

What I discovered is Elizabeth Hurley does nothing for me and I wasn't expecting a one-scene-wonder playing the embodiment of Lust in the original to sexually awaken something in me. I have rarely felt so exposed in the presence of my parents as I did watching that scene. I hoped I didn't visibly squirm.

But I loved this film! I loved Brendan Fraiser in the 1990s. Honestly, Elizabeth Hurley in the film never did much for me.

I don't play Star Dew but I felt this. Explains why I don't play games often either. Goals being set and working to achieve them? Why do I find that so hard to do? I just want to explore and then get bored and find something else to do.
