By "content creators" do you mean people trying to make money off it, or other fans? Because "content creators" are always going to move with the algorithm, but if you mean other fans, stop gatekeeping. If new people are coming to your fandom that's a good thing! Be kind to them! Welcome them enthusiastically! Encourage their contributions! Otherwise you'll end up with 3 bitter old fans sitting in a circle complaining about how nobody cares about their fandom anymore.

If they're a "content creator," then yeah, of course they're not gonna care about your fandom as much as an actual fan is.

What kind of content creation are you thinking about, like fic and vids and fanworks?

I know a few really talented people with a barely glancing interest in my fandoms and they've still produced amazing things that I love!

Dude, get over yourself. Enjoy what they create and be grateful for the content generated. Stop holding people to impossible and imaginary standards.

I get excited when a creator mentions something I really like but I know not to get too parasocial.

A lot of creators I like mention Lemony Snicket or Mad Men but they're just mentioned, not the topic of discussion. I still keep hoping this means one day they'll do a deep dive or keep bringing those things up lol

i don't say this to be mean but honestly. you seem too emotionally invested
