Fan Expo Chicago

Hello! Well if anyone is going, or has gone, or has gone to other Fan Expo shows, I have a few questions please! Can I bring in my own water bottle, are there water stations I can fill it with? Next, the site states there can be bag searches, and I know props have to be inspected, but can I carry a backpack in?

I'm honestly interested in the art alley and vendor alley, I just don't know what I can carry in besides my purse. Thank you!

I haven't been to this specific one, but generally regular backpacks are allowed but might have to be looked in when entering. There will almost guaranteed be water stations and water bottles are usually allowed but sometimes there is a stipulation that it has to be empty upon arrival.

So this page says to bring "a trusty waterbottle" so you are good on that front! I've honestly never been to a con that didn't allow backpacks as long as they were not giant things. Often they will have you open it and they will take a quick look inside when you enter and then you are good to go.
