Re: Vacation

I like active vacations, where I find a place and explore. I went to England for the first time last summer and walked all over London, rented an ebike to bike all over Cornwall, hiked a bunch of different trails, mixed in with a few down days where I just chilled in my rental or by the water.

I also like backpacking trips too.

I always hear about people going and just spending a week at the beach and am kind of jealous. I'm just not good at staying still.

I'm the opposite. I wish I had more energy. I had so many plans this last vacation, but I ended up resting most of the time. By the time I get on vacation, I'm usually exhausted and in need of a lot of relaxation.

I'd love to have the energy for more active vacations.

I'm like that in day to day. Zero energy, can barely meal prep or get the gumption to do basic things. Travel just brings me alive in a way nothing else does. It gives me energy and I become this active social person. If I could figure out how to do it full time I'd be living as my best self.

The downside is I honestly am bad at not being active on vacation. It's like my every day life is zero energy Depression Mode and then I go full Manic when traveling.

I am exactly the same. Day to day life? I need to drag myself through it. Weekends usually one manic one couch potato.
Vacation? Letssss goooooo. Staycation at home? There is a whole chance I am actually getting depressed.
