Discovering I was demiromantic in my thirties really helped me to understand and feel less guilty about my early relationships because I didn't feel the romance right away and it made me feel "cold" . And sort of explained why past relationships might not have worked out...

I have a friend that is thinking she may be demi in some way, but it's hard for her because she is one of those people that kind of mocked the whole demisexual thing as not being real. We've had that argument many times in our friendship! I'm now wondering if it was all just hardcore denial/in the closet type stuff that made her so adamant and judgy about it.

I'm glad the discovery helped you be more comfortable and understand yourself better!

Thanks A lot of people don't believe in it and I feel like it's because demiromantic and demisexual are very hard to explain.
