(Anonymous) 2025-08-22 12:59 am (UTC)(link)Then you can at least look it up? It has no DRM or any of that crap. You just put in your library location and card, and digital versions of books are available for free. It's similar to using z-library, but legal.
I'm sure overseas first world countries has some equivalent. Jeebus.

(also because we don't have a "national" public library, but a "regional" one) Not all countries are technologically advanced as the USA.
AND I personally don't even read ebooks at all, lol. And the few times I attempted to do so I had the ones free from Amazon or tried borrowing from my local library (which I couldn't read, because fucking adobe DRMs), but didn't like to read the book on my kindle so I just gave up. I just know this piracy shit because I find it fascinating.
