I submitted a secret a while back (with the kind help of the secret-maker) about how I recently got back into knitting and am turning into Mabel Pines, and I just finished my first ever sweater and have started on my second. My inner Mabel and my collection of 80s/90s patterns can't be stopped:)

I've gotten 3 job interviews plus a second interview for one of them. And a guy just asked for my number, which never, ever happens to me. Feeling kind of good today.

Went to the punk rock flea market and got some great dips that are made locally!

Also, silly but a couple of my tiktok posts have done really well for being a niche (fanfic related) topic. 😃

I found a third pair of Creative Pebble speakers at a local Goodwill (I bought my pair refurbished on Amazon, then later found a pair for my husband at a different thrift) for $10; I'm getting them cleaned up from minor cosmetic blemishes and gifting them to my cousin.

Saw a really cute puppy when I was on a walk. My partner has been very supportive and kind to me while I'm dealing with some life problems that have gotten me down. So lots of tough times but very grateful to the kindness of my partner. My coworkers have also been very nice lately, doing little things to help me out and saying nice things, so I am feeling appreciated at work.

Personally, I've been watching the Blue Jays a lot lately. I'm about a dozen games back, but something about the pure joy that Springer and basically the entire team plays with has just upped my dopamine levels to a thousand. They just love it, and as a long time sports nut, I've never come across a team that have as much fun as they do. I just can't stop smiling whenever I watch them play.

I got back part of my attention span and managed to finish up a book and am making my way through another one or two. I felt pleased and accomplished. I watched The Thursday Murder Club and was amused by it. Ate two cans of delicious Pringles and snuck some Nutella from my mother's jar. (I have diabetes and rarely eat chocolate, so it's okay.)

I know Giant Pandas are proper bears, albeit ones with wonky diets, but are Red Pandas still considered Raccoon relatives too? And do they have the same diet problem as giant pandas, or are they just basically the pumpkin spice colored trash panda?

Red pandas aren't actually related to pandas at all, they're physical ressemblance to pandas led to them being called that, but biologically they're unrelated, if I'm remembering correctly. They're more closely related to raccoons it's they closest known relative, but are their own set of sub-species, at least I think that's right. Not sure about their diet though.

Red Pandas are their own thing - their closest relatives are all extinct, and they're only slightly more closely related to raccoons and weasels than they are to dogs. They do eat bamboo, but mostly in winter when they can't get anything else. When they can, they eat fruit, roots, insects and small fish.

Are they all trash? Am I doomed to see an ad between every sudoku? I dont even mind paying 5-10$ for a game, or to upgrade it if the upgrade is permanent or useful.

Does anyone have any recs?

I'll go first- Mini Mini Farm is a cute little village/farming sim. Ads only start to show up when you want to teleport between locations and you can go adfree for a few dollars.

Dude, I, too, am sick of all the damn ads. I hate to pay out, but I'm getting pretty sick of them....

Archero has tons of ads but you can ignore them. Or you can pay every few weeks to get the rewards without ads. It isn’t a great model but it’s a fun game.

All in Hole is one of those drag the hole and collect random weird shit games. I paid a couple bucks to do away with ads and never regretted it.

I've heard Monument Valley is a phenomenal phone game (and recently got console/PC ports, too) that's one upfront charge.
