Contractually obligated to whom? They own their show and its production company.

I'd modify it to, "in ten years, this has moved from an acting exercise with some friends to a business where we are the public faces that have to constantly deliver ever more content, which is a lot less side-gig fun and a lot more full-time work and responsibility cutting into our real jobs, but we'd be stupid to walk away from the money printing machine, so we're doing everything we possibly can to keep the business going by hiring new people to meet the demand and give us some breathing room."

Contractually obligated to whom? They own their show and its production company.

I'd argue there must absolutely be some kind of legal entanglement with WOTC at the very least. Given recent years' BS with that company owning the rights to everything involving their system, it's naive to think there wouldn't be.
