Haha yes we all know why it's Vash, wink wink!

It's because some people have a kink for that which is fine, actually?

Ngl it's not MY kink, but FS has a weird double standard for trans m/m porn where it's expected to be specially diverse and representative and realistic, unlike literally all the other porn out there.

(Anonymous) 2025-09-15 11:50 pm (UTC)(link)
It's because he's the weaker and less aggressive one.

(Anonymous) 2025-09-15 11:51 pm (UTC)(link)
And some people have a kink for that which is fine, actually. lol

(Anonymous) 2025-09-15 11:52 pm (UTC)(link)
You are right. Forgot we can't complain about stereotypes we don't like in fic.

(Anonymous) 2025-09-15 11:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Hey now, I'm not the cops, go on and judge away. If you can think they're silly, I can think you are too, though. That's how this works!

(Anonymous) 2025-09-15 11:56 pm (UTC)(link)
DA.

The way people complain about this like it's doing anything unique is the thing I find funny though. Yeah people are kinking on that aspect, and? Call me when fandom isn't doing that to some degree.

(Anonymous) 2025-09-16 10:19 am (UTC)(link)
Which I wouldn't mind if they a) tagged it properly and b) didn't in a lot of cases pretend their kink was actually activism.

(Anonymous) 2025-09-16 10:54 am (UTC)(link)
Sure, I made no mention of that part at all. Found the WINK WINK we know the real nefarious reasons it's always Vash part funny. Like yeah. It's kink. It's the same reason uh, any porn exists. We can continue to pretend OP knows a dark secret though

(Anonymous) 2025-09-16 11:04 am (UTC)(link)
Eh. Nobody said anything about it being ~nefarious~. OP likely is just a bit annoyed that the people playing the "my kink is activism" game pretend they have some moral high ground because of their boypussy fetish.

(Anonymous) 2025-09-16 11:20 am (UTC)(link)
Eh, nah. You don't really end things with ~we all know why~ without it implying that sort of thing.

Besides, I think they're the "its stereotypes" person above which didn't mention any porn = activism stuff. If not, they sounded pretty confident explaining for OP at least.

(Anonymous) 2025-09-16 11:24 am (UTC)(link)
No, that was me and I'm not OP. I'm just in the same boat as them and other people who have been getting annoyed at the same patterns of behaviour in certain fandoms. It's a matter of experience.

(Anonymous) 2025-09-16 02:06 pm (UTC)(link)
DA
Thisssss, Please, for the love of satan, people, tag your shit. Stop pretending that tricking (dysphoric) people into getting jumpscared by vagina is somehow activism.

(Anonymous) 2025-09-16 03:15 am (UTC)(link)
What? I see people complaining literally all the time about cis m/m porn when the smaller, more feminine/gentle guy is always the bottom.

(Anonymous) 2025-09-16 09:01 am (UTC)(link)
Ok, sure, broaden that to m/m porn in general.

Tons of women / AFAB people tying themselves up in knots about kink and bi/gay men are out there being like hell yeah daddy/twink and bottom femboys gimme that shit.

It's super weird to me honestly.

(Anonymous) 2025-09-16 09:04 am (UTC)(link)
SA I guess I should clarify before people read that wrong, that I mean IME women and AFAB NB-identifying people tend to agonize over it way more than "bi/gay men" which includes trans men

(Anonymous) 2025-09-16 10:22 am (UTC)(link)
Weirdly enough, there's a real vocal portion of trans men who have taken it upon themselves to talk at length and "educate" people about "real" gay male experiences, and often talk over cis gay men which is also kinda iffy.

(Anonymous) 2025-09-16 11:02 am (UTC)(link)
Their experiences aren't any less real or less gay tbf. Mostly I'd love if people stopped elevating m/m on some kind of weird pedestal to which m/f and f/f is not held, and it is noticeably only m/m that gets this treatment

Show me the last time someone on here said "butch/femme f/f porn is stereotypes" or "older man/younger woman porn is stereotypes" and ~we all know why everyone does it~. Everyone does it because they're common-ass kinks lol

(Anonymous) 2025-09-16 11:09 am (UTC)(link)
Yes. Yes they are. Sorry, but if you lived and fucked a good part of your life with female parts, you are NOT the authority on cis gay sex. You can talk at length about the trans gay experience, or maybe gay dating in general but you don't actually have the right to speak over gay people when they talk about cis gay experiences/dynamics. Because like it or not, it IS very different.
Personally, I think putting all porn under a microscope in terms of how realistic it is is dumb and especially when afab people agonise overly much about the realism of gay sex as is the case in fandom.

(Anonymous) 2025-09-16 11:13 am (UTC)(link)
Go tell them that then? I don't really care if they say whatever they want lol.

I am here to talk about porn, not real sex gay or otherwise

SA and let me be clear I am not talking about real life gay people having sex or real life straight people having sex, I am talking about real life porn preferences of not-real sex.

Big dom small sub, aggro dom passive sub, older taller dom younger smaller sub is in every single porn genre of every single combo of gender enjoyed by every type of person - dommy mommy and little boys, big dominant sisters and innocent girls with crushes - but it's only in m/m that it's always deemed a moral or social issue by its fanbase so often instead of treated like a kink

(Anonymous) 2025-09-16 11:18 am (UTC)(link)
I think a big part of why it's treated differently is because a big part of fandom treats their gay shipping (and now their trans headcanons and boypussy fetishes) as activism so they just HAVE to make it seem like they're doing it "properly" - so when they inevitably just fall back onto the same fetish stereotypes wile still playing at having some sort of moral highground, it raises more eybrows than if they just admitted "Oh well, it's just my fetish/kink".

"but FS has a weird double standard for trans m/m porn where it's expected to be specially diverse and representative and realistic"

Ooooooor, maybe,

1. Most M/M fans are not attracted to AFAB bodies, or are triggered by sex involving vulvas, and wish this content was at least tagged.
2. Find it telling how the vast majority of the time when a canon male character is headcanoned as AFAB, he is somehow put in a submissive or degrading role, or the *only* sex he's portrayed doing involves penetration or attention to the vagina. Yes, some trans guys do enjoy this and that's fine, but when it's the go-to context it's kind of telling what someone's subconcious social views on people with AFAB bodies are.

(FWIW, I do enjoy this content myself. But I understand the feeling of having something normalized be a major squick to you.)

Sigh. Did not address or bring up tags at all, only the 2nd part. People acting like I disagree with the concept "tags" when my reply did not mention or reference tags at all is making me give up on replying because why are we arguing things I never brought up?

Regarding the relevant part, yes, what you say is true. But it's also only m/m with afab people that is judged this way, m/f with afab people is not judged this way and f/f with afab people is not judged this way. The smaller and weaker woman in afab f/f is also 99% of the time the bottom and being penetrated, and in amab f/f stuff the bigger dominant woman always either the one with a dick or the one doing the penetrating and this is fine but when its m/m afab it's some kind of social or moral failing?

I understand the feeling of squick, but squicks are personal feelings you deal with on your own. People here on FS just love to make their personal squick into some kind of broad moral thing with m/m unlike every other kind of porn and it's noticeable and weird to me lol
