not understanding the appeal = fine, it's called we all have preferences and talking animals in cartoons aren't yours.

not understanding why cartoons feature anthropomorphized animals? uhhhhhh

furries are a whole other can of not understanding how it works, since that's way more complicated and has levels and layers and...

I admire some well-made fursuits, or used to, from a crafting standpoint since I'll never make one, but these days so many of them are just kits with standard mix-and-match parts and/or purchased, so there's not a lot of craft like there used to be. And the giant cartoon eyes are a huge nope for me, I'd rather see a full-size realistic render of any creature than yet another candy-colored cartoon wolf.

Same. I can sort of relate to the idea of wanting to be an animal but only if it's a realistic animal. Anthropomorphic animals have something inherently repulsive to me.

There is a massive gulf between micky mouse, fox robin hood, or remy from ratatouille, and wanting to dress up as/behave like an animal. Where do minions from the gru films fit in, animals or not? is gru a cartoon and therefore weird repulsive though he's human? (gru isn't supposed to be hot but ya know, human cartoon)

I myself don't understand the sexual appeal. But I know my tastes in kink are rather vanilla. And the furry community from what I've seen and heard is a rather welcoming community.

I might never understand the appeal, but I support the comm and stay in my lane.

I still haven’t gone back to watch earlier GBM. When Michael O’Hare shows up as a veteran chef later, he’s got much less bizarre blond hair.

Native American are really under represented in TV

Why is that? I can't remember the last time I saw an actor who looks like a stereotypical native american. It's always black people, latina, white and asian ladies. I have a shallow reason as in I like their looks, especially guys with long hair. And I mean they lived there first but then while people came then they brought black people, then asian people immigrated during the Opium war, and it's like Native American people are extinct.
