I love and respect you, but I'm afraid to ask exactly how you think Draco, and mainly Snape are misrepresented if fics?

DA but "Draco in leather pants" is a trope name for a reason.

At first, yes, but he's very clearly a snubbed, wannabe, told to be bully, who always takes his medicine. He get's turned into a ferret, punched, and hit with a murderous spell Snape made, and then a hell of a lot more. Later he breaks down, makes friends with Myrtle, saves Harry when pressed to identify him, and tries to stand with the good guys in the final battle at Hogwarts. Draco is a flawed character, but unlike the intention of the trope, isn't actually all that hot, and has enough character growth to prove he deserves some respect.
I admit, I was late to the fandom, and was never a Draco/Harry shipper, but I do know that the trope was made very early in the series, and has generally been understood to not have held up over time.

Right. Draco in canon is vry different from the fanon trope of Draco In Leather Pants.

I'm not into potter anymore. But back when I was in the fandom, both were massively woobified.

Okay, I can definitely see that for sure. I just hate Snape a lot and was clutching my pearls for a minute there.

Oh I loath Snape. That's my issue with the fandom version. The book version is the absolute worst up until the last book. And the ending for his character is in no way earned. Honestly I think the fandom version is at least slightly what Rowling intended him to be. But he never was that in canon at all.
