Unfortunately most of the time the conspiracies devolve into racism because they started from racism in the first place, e.g. 'these non white people couldn't possibly have had or built things more complex than the white people of the time!! must be aliens'

Yeah as a kid I didn't pick up on the racism, but when I got older I saw what all those 'theories' had in common and those shows swiftly stopped being funny to me.
