You know what I do? I idle in their stream and mute the tab. Every person present counts. Your presence is enough. You don't owe anyone anything.

Same here. There is someone who I enjoy watching who has gone from primarily streaming a game I love, to doing variety and only rarely streaming that game. And most of the stuff she's streaming now I have zero interest in. I always come to her streams and just lurk so she has me as a number, but I simply can't make myself care enough to actively watch and comment.
