Look, OP, as someone who occasionally streams... Would it be nice to make it a steady source of income? Of course. Is it realistic to expect it? Hell no.

The truth is that hundreds of thousands of people worldwide livestream, but only a minuscule percentage of them gets the luck of making a living out of it. While I can appreciate this streamer of yours' wish to make a living out of it, they also need to be ready to accept that it might not pan out.

On your part, you are not obligated to provide any monetary support; nor should you feel guilty for your inability/unwillingness to do so.

We're are all trying to get by. If you cannot afford to throw money at a streamer, then you cannot afford it, and that's the end of it.
