Thanks for tuning in, appreciate you being here, if you have a chance it'd be fun to have you over on Twitch, but until then, enjoy the VOD." And then during the stream itself there is never an (active) push for donations/bits/subs. They are acknowledged and appreciated when they come in. Sometimes there's a specific sub drive (one guy I watch usually does one game a week where chat's donations lead to some kind of difficulty challenge activating in the game or adding a new twist, or sometimes just "hey you have to get up and do 50 jumping jacks now") just to incentivize. But that's not everyone. Not all streamers are gluttons for punishment for their chat's amusement. But sometimes.... sometimes that's the key to having an involved audience who wants to keep coming back and actually give you money.
Being on screen and constantly asking for people to sub is not that.
