I feel like you're somehow glossing over the fact that Qiqi is a 100+ year old zombie. Pretty sure the reanimation messes with her head and that's why she's so spacey and forgetful. But yeah, she's old.

I kind of think of their friendship more like a kid/young person spending time with a forgetful, but sweet, old person.

I don't think I agree with your age estimations for several of these characters. For starters, I don't think 5 is accurate for Klee and Qiqi. I'd estimate them at around 8-10 (ignoring the extra zombie age for Qiqi). Yaoyao I'd say would be around 12 tops. Dori is definitely an adult but I'm not sure with Diona- she could be anything from a younger teen to a very young adult but personally I'd say 15-16 at the most. And Sayu seems like an older teen at most as well.

I'm pretty much done buying fandom and merch t-shirts online because too many times, I've gotten ones that were terrible quality, and of course they aren't cheap. One time I ordered several and when they came in and I opened the package, I thought they'd sent me the wrong sizes because these little bundles were tiny - way too small to be the sizes I had ordered, maybe children's sizes. Nope! Turns out they were the correct sizes, they were just tissue-paper thin. Another time, the design started fading with the first time I washed it. It's ridiculous.

My sister's husband is as big of a Beatle fan as I am and he's given me about a zillion Beatle T shirts (and several sweatshirts, hoodies and Rolling Stones and Grateful Dead shirts) and they're all really good quality too!

I have fond memories of the Dragon Prince and Dragon Star trilogies from my teenage years. They were some of the first big epic fantasies (with dragons!) that I read and loved. The Exiles trilogy didn't grab me as much, but I was disappointed when Rawn didn't publish Captal's Tower. I understand she had a lot of mental health issues going on? Don't know for sure, tbh.

And I couldn't get into the Glass Thorns series at all.

I'm the opposite! I don't like watching VODs of streams because of all the time spent thanking people for joining, chitchatting about nothing, working on tech issues, etc. I'll only watch a stream back if it's been edited to remove that kind of stuff.

No, I get it OP. It's not your dad but it's bringing you some kind of comfort which isn't a bad thing, we all cope with grief in our own ways and if watching some older men eat some food and talk about it helps, then carry on as you are.

It'd only become an issue if it's impacting your ability to life your life, not just using it to help deal with the grief.

I think about concert anon sometimes. Their updates always made me happy. And for some reason I've been thinking about the anon that asked for thunderstorm fic yesterday all day. It was such a unique specific request and now I want those fic too.

And of course there are the classics of tar season and soap dish anons, among others.
