Re: How do you watch Cadfael if ya all are atheists and agnostics?

Well, the same way I watch shows/channels with a lot of alcohol consumption as a non-drinker. What I choose to do in my life is not necessarily what other people choose to do. Just because I choose not to do something, that doesn't mean I begrudge others their choice to do it. And if they enjoy it, find comfort in it, and aren't actively causing themselves or others serious harm, it can be entertaining for me to watch.

I enjoy watching other people do a lot of things I'm not able to or don't want to do. I love car chases, but I would not like to be in one. I would hate to be anywhere near a real gunfight, but, man, I do love me some awesomely choreographed screen shootouts.

I mean, I do also enjoy watching other people things that I do. It can enhance the viewing experience. But they can also do it really wrong (though that can sometimes be enjoyable in a different kind of way).

Like everything, liked or disliked, it depends on how it's depicted. There are some things I have a visceral reaction to, so I tend to avoid those.
