In OP's defense, they only said cow and dog girls feel disrespectful, and I think it's fair to assume the "to me" part was implied, though they probably should have included it in the wording for good measure.

I'm not OP, and I don't have strong feelings about this subject at all, but personally I think maybe it's because cows are broadly characterized as docile and stupid, and also because "cow" is sometimes used as a female-targeted insult. And domesticated dogs are often characterized as being trainable, dependent, and subservient to their masters.

Most of the cow-themed characters I’ve seen have been stupid, overweight, or both. I’m less sure about dog-themed characters, but I suppose there’s the idea of the “loyal hound.”

Well, cow and heifer have been used as insults for women for a while. And dog has been used to call women ugly. But I also think the traits, docility for cows, loyalty (to a detrimental degree) for dogs, could be seen as disrespectful.

Do people realize you're not getting a cow to do anything it's not okay doing and they regularly weigh enough (and know it) to kill a man?
