Almost 50 here, too, and I can't believe how much my metabolism has slowed. Currently at 13 months without a period, so legit menopausal.

I still can't believe no one in the medical industrial complex prepared me for perimenopause. That was literally like going through a second puberty in reverse. It was a horror show.
