Re: Weight Loss Injections

The drugs are an aid to help you with making diet and lifestyle changes. If you don't make the effort to change those then yeah, it will go right back on. Therapy is often recommended along with the shots.

To aid in it you are supposed to be on it until you reach your goal weight, then maintain for 1 year before tapering off the drugs.

So the story of every fad diet ever. Sure it'll work! Don't look at the odds of regaining the weight in 1/2/5 years. Everyone who can't keep it off is just lazy. It's math! Don't think about biology! Fuck that, just the math!

Which is to say - lame.

You seem really defensive. This drug isn't aimed at people who are fat because of "biology" it's aimed at people who have problems with diet/overeating/lifestyle and as an aid in an overall program to help them. If you want a quick fix then yeah, this ain't it. You'll just gain it all when you stop taking the drug. But I know several people who have been off it for over a year and have kept the weight off so far, in large part due to them putting in the work with therapy alongside the drugs. Or that's what they tell me.
