Can anyone link me to the last one? It supposedly concluded that there are zero guys on FS, according to an anon. Which seems wrong, but I can't say, because I don't remember seeing it.

I think they might not have been actually serious about that whole survey thing.

Yeah, that's part of why I'm curious to know if one existed at all that I missed, and they're exaggerating... or very detailedly making things up?

DA but they are most assuredly making shit up. There are definitely guys here. I would wager a guess that the majority does lean female, but I know I've seen people talk about their gender and there has always been a mix.

ayrt - glad you were able to track it down and sate your curiosity! I agree a factual discussion would have been interesting instead of the jumping to odd conclusions, but alas.

The idea that no man anywhere would talk about whether he wants kids is so wacky. It makes me wonder whether that anon has ever spent any significant amount of time with a real life man.

As an oldie, I thought Case is a trans guy IIRC.

I very vaguely seem to remember there was a bit of a "survey" thing about age and gender a few times back in the day but if so, that was years ago.

I think we have a fair number of trans guys and gender-nonconforming AFAB people here.

I'm that anon and I got a link thats kinda that. I don't know what search words to use. It wasn't titled as survey. I've spent enough time on it as is. Alas you seem to not be happy with te link I produced so I shouldn't have bothered.

Anyway if you wanted the info you'd create a new thread. There's no guys for sure. And 90% are from US, one from Australia and a couple anons from EU. You know what I'll just make a thread myself if you're that lazy.

Is there something bugging you about this? It feels like there’s some tension on the topic and I’m not sure where it came from.

(Also, you can add the UK for your data set. I’m pretty sure there are at least three of us about.)

That anon didn't appreciate the link I dig up at all ( I had to go on DuckDuckGo because Google was so unhelpfull. Idk why that anon is so bothered about it. It's like they think there's less value in FS if it's mostly female comm. Internalized misogyny is my guess.

You said there was a demographics survey and provided a link about whether people want kids or not...? You're not making much sense.

You say in one place there are no men and here you say "mostly female" - those are contradicting statements.

They could mean it's mostly female and the remaining few are nonbinary.

But half the people here think nonbinary people are all women who pretend they're not women because of gender stereotypes and internalized misogyny, soooo

Again, you seem pressed about arguing that there are “no guys for sure” at FS when plenty of anons have said they are in fact men.

If you meant that men are a relative minority around here, I think it would help to say that instead.

Right exactly. I think everyone here knows FS users are predominantly female. Anybody who denies that hasn't been here long. But "it is mostly women" is not the same thing as "there are no men". The second thing is a much more strong claim and a thread where people discuss children in which most of the participants are female is not proof that nobody responding to it is male. I saw the link to the kids or not thread and was just. Baffled

Not to be rude but I think you need to keep working on the internalized misogyny you keep accusing other people of.

You determined that "all of FS is women only" because people were discussing whether or not they want to have a baby.
Uhh...men also think about whether or not they want to become parents. Same with nonbinary people.

You assumed that other FSers don't consider nonbinary people as femmes based off.....????? No direct quote, no actual posts anywhere that explicitly states this nor any that imply such a thing.
To me, it comes off as a defense you want to use to paint those who don't agree with you as terrible people.

Also, bold of you to assume that anyone who identifies as nonbinary here means that they're AFAB. Even if that is true (which I don't think is), YOU are the internally misogynistic one for labeling nonbinaries essentially as female. Some may, but others might not. From my understanding (please correct me if I'm wrong), some nonbinary people don't mind participating in numbers games "file me under my assigned gender at birth but recognize I'm still nonbinary", but most would rather be categorized as nonbinary. Not "Male", not "Female". List them as "Nonbinary".
Failure to do so is denying nonbinaries of their anatomy.

I am not from USA, Australia or EU. Also not British (there been several anon from UK). So I guess I do not exist in your assumption about FS

I don't think there ever was one, and threads asking personal questions like martial status or kids don't require every user to comment. I know there are childless namies who didn't post in that thread because they chose not to reply. Most comments here are anonymous and there's less namies replying with their journal as time goes on, so any demographics survey would have to be taken on a survey site and advertised here. That's how other comms like FFA did then.

TBH, if a survey here was done via people saying "I'm X" I wouldn't trust it. Case admitted to rarely looking at IPs, and bans aren't carried out due to inactivity. You can easily have nonnies claim to be different things for the sake of an argument.
