That was my position before. Now I have an additional "if it also doesn't make it public that you are supporting her in a way she could read as support." She's just gotten too extreme. So I've stopped listening to Wrock in my car because I don't want it to seem like I'm supporting her in any way. I got rid of my books. I still read fanfic privately sometimes if I have the urge. But I won't do anything that might be public.

I think that's a fair addition, and I basically do the same. Even when discussing it, I'll only discuss with people I know are aware of the problems surrounding JKR. If someone I don't know asks me about HP stuff, I usually just say something vague like I've read the books and seen the movies, but I no longer support the author.

Wizard Rock, the word for officially released Harry Potter fan songs.

I got rid of my books too, but not for public-facing reasons. They were a huge part of my life and I have so many fond memories of devouring them on release day...but I unfortunately stopped feeling happy about having them, and it's solely because of her behavior. She's the one who made it stop feeling fun for me.

I get it. I'd honestly already lost most of my interest in the before she got really awful.

DA

Same here. This goes for anything HP related. I used to love watching the films during the holidays, but I just simply feel uneasy now. That childlike wonder is lost, so I can only focus on feeling sad and disappointed when I last tried to watch the first movie.

I don't have any strong feelings about other fans who can still read the books or watch the films, though.
