I'm lucky, in that nobody around me has ever pestered me about when I was planning on having children. Not even when I moved in with a partner. Having an aunt and uncle who decided to forego having a family helped buttress any potential bingoing.

Even my own mother learned to accept my choice, and while I'm more than happy to be a doting aunt to a cool nephew and a brand new niece, at the end of the day, I can give them back to their parents.

I love my sister's kids and I would do so much for them just to make them happy or to feel seen, but yeah, I know that I can always hand the kids back to their parents. That's a reason I can hold my patience for them, I know that I have a an end point with them XD
