What is everyone doing this weekend?

I'm recovering from strep throat so I'll be taking it easy. The new season of Rivals is out, so I'm going try some of that. And if I feel good tomorrow, I want to try the new Phasmophabia.

In kitten news, they went to the vet! Unfortunately, they are too young for shots (only 6 weeks). But I found out we have three girls and one boy! Here are some pics and photos of them. Just had back surgery today, so recovery and Lord of the Rings rewatch. Also obsessing over the new flight rising breed, so will be on there a lot.

And my old boss is being an ass, so I have to draft these letters to former clients. Trying to cover all my bases so they can't try anything.

So sorry about your strep. And those kittens are perfect.

I hope the surgery works! I know you've tried other treatments. And it sucks that your former boss is such shit. :(

Yeah, I'm past the sore throat phase. Now it is the cough and congestion phase. They are pretty dang cute!

My husband's birthday is tonight (so I at least got him a slice of peach pie) and my mom is visiting for the weekend. I just browned some butter (for the first time yet) with plans to pour some over pumpkin goat cheese ravioli.

I've also been working on soldering itty bitty Mill-Max sockets into the PCB of a mechanical keyboard I'm in the process of building. That I will probably put off during the visit, but it's fiddly work to be sure...

Mmmm, pie. I always get pie for my birthday too. Peach is my second choice if I can't get strawberry rhubarb. Also happy birthday to your husband.

Man, that sounds like some delicious food. I hope you all enjoy it. Are you building the keyboard for yourself?

Yep. I got a mechanical keyboard for the ridiculously low price of free a while back (the Mistel Barocco) and while I like the feel of it I don't particularly like the 60% layout. So I got a TKL (everything but the number pad) barebones kit and am working on rolling my own.

I’m sewing this weekend. I have two quilts to finish by Christmas. One is a panel quilt and the other isn’t even planned *gulp* I need to come up with something quick! I have a big embroidery machine so I may just make 8x8 blocks on that and sew them together.

Last night I was at a murder-mystery party that turned out to be a three-hour game of Werewolf in a VERY loud/crowded restaurant, so I'm taking it easy and decompressing at home today, but tomorrow I'm getting lunch with a friend and picking up copies of our current favorite band's new album!
