I made amazing mashed potatoes for our staff luncheon tomorrow. Seriously, they came out perfectly, and I'm pretty tickled to share them with others!

I use real butter, heavy cream, cold milk, and golden potatoes. I also use a secret ingredient - a bit of that powdered Ranch dip seasoning.

I have not had potatoes with ranch seasoning before, but my mom's recipe does include butter, heavy cream, and milk.

Helped my boss on a case today and got some compliments on my work. It felt good. I'm starting to fit in and hold my own.

Thanks. Honestly, I'm just so glad I'm in a better environment. Everyone in my life has noticed the change in me. I didn't realize how much the old job was getting to me until the end there.

Nothing much. The kittens are doing well! Exploring more of the house. We keep them out all the time now except at night and when we are eating.

Not sure if happy/good news, but we collected my cat's ashes yesterday and I took him home the same way I took him home from the shelter - in my lap. He's home, that's all that matters to me.

Aw. So, so sorry about your loss. That's awful. But I'm glad you get to keep him with you. Cats are family, I'll probably do the same thing when my girl passes, hopefully not any time soon. She's my girl.

But mostly I just want to give you hugs. I'm sorry, I'm sure he was a very good boy who was very loved.

The idiot who kept SLEEPING on the 3PM - 11PM shifts (just flopped on the individual's couch, in the individual's HOUSE) is now gone. YAY. Petty, but people like that are just infuriating to work with.

I don't agree, but I'm not you, and I don't know what your life is like or what awful things you are dealing with. All I can say is that I wish things would get better for you and hope that you can find some people who care about you and see your value. And most of all I hope you start feeling better about yourself. Self-hate sucks, I've struggled with it my whole life. But you do matter.

Who are you? I find it hard to believe anyone here at all cares about me. You don't know me. And half of the people are just trolls.

You are right, I don't know you. But I believe everyone has value. I'm not a troll, I've been here for years. I'm just sorry you feel so miserable. And I feel bad because I relate. I've been there. I hated myself for a long time and thought the world would be better without me (although personally death terrified me, so I never got to the point of trying anything).

My life has gotten better and I'm working on fighting the self hate. But the thoughts are still there. But everyone matters. You matter. The world is better with you in it.
