lol I just made another thread on Thanksgiving! I should have waited a bit and refreshed before making the thread. OH WELL.

We don't really do traditional Thanksgiving dinner but I do make an apple pie each year! I have yet to really be successful at making the crust*, once a year I get irrationally frustrated at crust making and then vow to buy store bought next year...only to do it all over again thinking "no, *this* is the year I'll get it down."

*"not successful" meaning I am frustrated beyond reason as the crust tears and doesn't do what I want it to, but at the end of the day I do end up with an edible pie. It just isn't as pretty (or easy to make) as I ever want it to be.

And no lie, homemade pie crust is hard. I do it sometimes and it tastes pretty good but it never looks pretty and it's hard to roll it out and get it pie-shaped without tearing or running out (because I didn't roll it thinly enough!) so this year I decided to skip doing it. My family isn't that crazy about pie or sweets in general, though.
