Maybe that is something that matters to her? People are different, some women I'm sure actually care about that.

As you saying Tay-Tay's a size queen?

She wrote that song 100% because she knew he would like it. The old Motown motif (ripoff), the penis worship. Travis is a simple, mid-western man and his song reflects that. She does this with all of her boyfriends/ex. She jimmys Joe Jonas, she makes a Jonas brothers songs about it, Taylor Lautner - something that would fit on a Twilight soundtrack, John Mayer - a John Mayer song. Harry Styles makes pop-rock boy band stuff - 1989. Joe Alwyn likes indie/electro/rock. So on and so forth. Travis seems like the kind of guy who listens to Motown whilst lifting or driving or making pancakes or some shit. Wood is 'his' song.

NAYRT

That's really interesting about Taylor. I can see the inspirations now, pretty cool. I like hearing about what inspires creatives.

At the end of the day Taylor is a very basic and white bread kind of person. Not a bad thing, it's just who she is.

True.

Transcript - Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift could have written a song about what a great and considerate lover Travis is. But nope, she decided to go with the most male-centered idea or good sex from a man - massive dong.

I'm completely neutral on TSwift. Some songs are good, others are a snoresfest. But like... are we really expecting anything else? She's very digestible and marketable, and sadly hypersexual music is what tops the charts. She could do X and Y, but I wouldn't have high hopes for a billionaire. Maybe checking out indie artists on Bandcamp would bge more of your speed.

This is true. It paid off really well for Sabrina Carpenter, so, here we are.

I also realized agents and record labels tend to push a certain look. So many of my favorite bands and singers hop across different ones, or had songs rejected. I find it silly when Swifties speculate about her inner workings or motives, but sometimes things like that was the recording label's choice than their own. "Do this, it'll sell. No one will like that." Etcetera.

my question is though, DOES travis kelse seem like he'd be a considerate or good lover? nah he seems like the type to just jam it in. so she couldn't write a song about him being a good lover if he's not

(Anonymous) 2025-11-29 01:36 am (UTC)(link)
Sure she could, she tells fictional love stories all the time.

(Anonymous) 2025-11-29 04:53 am (UTC)(link)
i both love and hate this comment lmao

(Anonymous) 2025-11-29 06:17 am (UTC)(link)
That boy eats pussy. I'm not saying he's good at it, but he gives me "I eat pussy cause I'm a good boy" vibes. And he fucking enjoys it. Makes all the "mmm" noises, too. With a little direction, he could be amazing.

(Anonymous) 2025-11-29 07:49 am (UTC)(link)
I listened to the podcast he was on and he 100% expects to get head from anyone he's with, it's non-negotiable, and he also thinks having skid marks is normal.

You do the math.

I find it off that people would actually write and perform a song about something that intimate. I just...can't imagine.

(Anonymous) 2025-11-29 06:51 am (UTC)(link)
It's giving lavender marriage.

But, seriously, I contrast this red wood nonsense with Billy Joel's song "She's Got a Way," written for his first wife. It's sweet and romantic.

Some people like big disks, also it’s massively weird to be annoyed by someone else’s sex life but okay.

The 5 1/4" floppy was interesting back in the day but I'll take USB drives that can store 16 GB. The main hard drive though? 1 TB minimum.

I'm old enough that I remember the brief foray into 8" floppy disks!

(Anonymous) 2025-11-29 01:48 am (UTC)(link)
ofc gotta reassure travvy that his pee-pee is the biggest and best she's had and also show joe matty et al that theirs weren't as good

(Anonymous) 2025-11-29 02:11 am (UTC)(link)
I haven't listened to a single song of hers in forever, and I assume this is not one that plays on the radio given the subject matter. And with the amount of secrets about specific songs of hers and exactly what's wrong with them, a whole lot of you here (or one obsessive person here) seem to go out of your way to listen to them despite your hate boner for her.

(Anonymous) 2025-11-29 04:32 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe he's, you know, not. Maybe he's just decent at it and not, like, selfish or anything, but not really that considerate.

(Anonymous) 2025-11-29 04:36 pm (UTC)(link)
It's like hearing a friend or sibling talk about their sex life XD
My skin crawls and I want to shout out, "I DON'T WANT TO KNOW THAT!"

Which is interesting, because I love songs that are basically sex jams. I've spent hours thinking about song writers and what inspired them to write those sexy/romantic songs. Like, what does it take to inspire a song writer to write a song in which they praise you? Sounds pretty deep.

So it can either be really good music or cringe to me.

I guess the parasocial element of Taylor and Travis is what turns me off to her sex jams.

she writes one less than stellar album and everyone loses their fucking minds
