Very specifically "anime" though. Not if they say they're a fan of One Piece, or a fan of Sailor Moon or a fan of Miyazaki movies. If they say "I love Anime" like it's something different and special supposed to tell me something more specific than saying "I love TV Shows" I'm already noting you down as a probable weeb to avoid

...nah, I'm gonna continue to avoid people that exotify asian media in ways they don't with western media. Enough white boys have come up to me talking about anime expecting that I know all about it for one lifetime

I judge people who say they don't like "anime" instead of titles of anime they don't like.

I extra judge people who say they don't like anime "except for" any of the following: Ghibli films, Cowboy Bebop, and/or "classics like Akira."

I like a lot of anime though. Am I supposed to narrow it down to each and every one of them? Do I list each show I'm watching this season, or just my all time favorites? Also plenty of people say they like 'TV' or 'books.'

I've heard "I love anime" a loooot more from actual weebs than "I love TV" (???) from random people.

"I love books" is also pretty weird, people usually say "I love reading" then say what types of books they love.

I am so entertained by how mad that anime comment made people. Especially when the comment doesn't even hate anime or people who like certain anime series, only the ones who say they 'love anime' as a whole and put it on an exotified pedestal.

If they say WHY they like x media, that would depend. If it's tied to a desire to say, do something bad to someone IRL, or some real-life judgment/hatred of a marginalized group, yeah, good chance I'll judge.

This right here. It isn't necessarily about what they enjoy, it is the reasoning behind it and maybe their interpretations. Like, if they root for characters who are terrible and think they are right, that's what I'm more likely to have an issue with.

Reality shows like 'Big Brother' or dating shows (Bachelor). They're just so gods-damn dumb (the shows). I very unfortunately have had to listen to a lot of them as one of the ladies at the house I work at loves the damn things.

oh, i was going to say none, but actually i agree with this one. i guess it also depends on the extent of it too. if you watch one or two shows once in awhile, whatever. but if you spend a significant amount of your free time watching this trash garbage shit reality tv, yeah, i judge

Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss, 100%; Vivian Medrano's art style and sense of humor are just so aggressively Not My Thing.

Oh, same! That art style is like the drawing equivalent of nails on chalkboard for me.

Agree. I think there's no arguing that the art is skillfully done. However. The designs are aggressively convoluted. There's too much going on to the point it's a hindrance and not a boon. The eye can't rest anywhere so I'm left feeling like I'm not sure what I'm even looking at without pausing to look at a scene, frame by frame.

The humour makes me cringe also.

One of my friends loved The Last Airbender. You know, the movie that doesn't exist and what a shame they never made a live action movie based on the amazing animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender. I took all her advice with a grain of salt after that.

And when I made a secret about it, I got hella judged. Let's see if that's changed.
