I don't like it because the author is supposedly inside the reader's head, and I'm not thinking like that?

The "you" doesn't do things the way I would do them.

But in fic, some people write characters the way I would approach a romantic scenario, so it's more relatable somehow.

That's it for me as well. I don't like it when characters are OOC and reader inserts is ultimate OOC writing, when the "you" is supposed to be me.

Which is interesting because I wouldn't care if it's an unnamed OC character written in second person. That would fall under outsider POV for me, which I love.
