Just when I think I'm finally growing bored of Flight Rising, they come out with a fun, adorable new breed and I become obsessed again. Flight Rising, I just can't give you up.

It remains my 'daily check in and do a few things' site, I go through phases of intensity for sure but it's pretty enough to keep me coming back. Got lots of dragons I still need to gene up! It's nice to have a game to play that isn't completely in-your-face with ads and pay-to-play.

It never fails to make me lol that whenever something that isn't the usual MCU or Star Wars slop gets popular in the wider culture, people on f!s bemoan it's existence and act like it being prevalent(for like a whole year) is some awful horrible suffering that takes such a massive toll on their ability to live.

I've had to live with being inundated with shit for two canons I can't stand for well over 15 years, I think you guys can handle something else getting to shine for a little bit before it inevitably circles back to whatever new SW/MCU shlock hits the market once again.

bitch please. i can be annoyed with seeing shit everywhere no matter what it is. it's less the specific ip that annoys me, and more the inundation of something and seeing it everywhere i turn. i'm tired of seeing wicked right now because it's the hot new thing, i also get tired of seeing marvel, and star wars, when those have a new release out and are oversaturated. baby fucking yoda was literally everywhere for awhile and that was annoying af too.

I don't get why someone else being annoyed about something would make you laugh when you have it 'worse'. It doesn't even really hit ironic for me, unless they were making fun of you for being annoyed about MCU/Star Wars or they were part of the MCU/Star Wars issue. But you make it seem like nobody gets to complain unless they have it as bad as you.

If I step in gum and someone else falls in wet cement, I still get to be annoyed about the gum. It's not like one invalidates the other. If I think it's the worst thing in the world and complain loudly and vociferously for days, then, yes, I need to check my perspective.

I get that it's supposed to be heartwarming and admirable/noble when cartoon dads like Stu Pickles or Bob Belcher and others pick family and fun with their kids over money and profitable careers but dudes...your kids gotta eat. Your job is to provide. I dunno, noble poverty isn't heartwarming to me, as someone who lived it.

I love Taylor but she is NOTORIOUS for having really cheaply-made, low-quality merch. Items that are actually good quality are the exception, not the rule. It's par for the course - you can get better fan-made stuff on Etsy.

But every single time she releases new merch, people buy it, then it comes in the mail and is terrible quality/not as described, and they get mad. Every. Single. Time.

It's honestly a little silly to me. I learned from past experience that the merch items are most likely going to be expensive junk, so I don't buy them. And yet everyone goes crazy for the new stuff and then acts shocked when it comes in and is broken, misprinted, etc. I genuinely don't get it.

most of the time I don't mind M/M stereotypes. kinks are kinks, whatever, right?

but... I definitely side-eye slash fans that have a huge list of pairings they ship, even if its not their favorite, and zero of them include 1) a black/brown bottom or 2) asian top. Or whatever the fantasy world equivalent is of those things.
